Here we are at the end of September already! Before we know it, it will be Thanksgiving again. So, I thought it was time to release my turkey baby hat pattern.
I designed and made this hat for my little one last year for his first thanksgiving family gathering and thought it looked so cute.
I’d written the whole pattern down in my notebook so when it came time to write it up it was just a matter of going over it and making a new hat in the process. This allowed me to carefully read over the pattern and take the many step-by-step photos you see below.
The hat I made this time is the next size up and fits my little one nicely with some room to grow. It will fit him perfectly this Thanksgiving.
While making this second version of the hat, I decided to re-design the eyes. I think they look so much better than the original and kind of give the hat some personality.
I’m really please with how the eyes turned out and am looking forward to making more of them to include in some upcoming designs.
I love to crochet for my kids and made this really fun spider hat and web poncho costume for Halloween a few years back – you can find the free pattern for that HERE
