How to Crochet a Small Japanese Knot Purse

I’ve been admiring the ingeniousness of the Japanese Knot bag concept for a while. I think it’s really clever how it closes so simply by looping the long strap through a short one.

So, I thought I’d have a go at designing one and came up with this cute little wrist pouch.

This small bag is perfect for holding the few essentials, like phone and keys, while taking the kids for a daily stroll around the neighborhood as we continue to shelter in place.
