Free Crochet Sweater Patterns

Are you excited for Fall? I am!

This week I’ve been busy admiring crochet sweater patterns and I found all these wonderful designs!

In addition to it being pretty much Fall, my personal reason for looking at sweaters is that I’ve been wanting to design and make my own for a while, and, since I’ve never made a sweater I needed to start by looking around for ideas.

These sweaters I found contain so much variety.

There’s different fits and sleeve lengths, different neck opening styles, different yarn weights along with so many different stitch combinations!

All these sweaters can be made in several different sizes, so you can make it for yourself or they are sure to make the perfect gift this Christmas.

I’m so excited to start developing my own design to share with you in the next few months. However, if you’d like to to see my completed designs please take a look at the MY PATTERNS page.

My latest designs include a stunning linked hearts infinity scarf along with a matching messy bun / beanie hat.

And if you are looking for ideas for other projects be sure to check out the ROUND-UPS page. There you will find my previous posts like this one including the very popular baby blankets round-up, baby gifts as well as unicorns and more!

First up we have this cute cowl neck sleeveless sweater with it’s chunky warm neck and beautiful texture.

The lemon peel stitch, a basic stitch combination, makes constructing this sweater quite easy, while the bulky yarn makes it pretty quick to make. Perfect!

Next we have the Raven Vest. This pattern uses the double crochet cross-over stitch to create a stunning yet light and breathable texture. The construction is quite simple with two panels, no shaping required, attached together with a cowl neck on top to finish.

Also if you love great textures, try out this By the Bay Tunic. This three quarter sleeved sweater is made using light weight yarn, perfect for the changing seasons and milder days.

This mesh sweater is very straight forward to work up. It’s boxy design makes it a super stylish go-with-everything sweater.

I love finding new stitches to try so I was really drawn to the herringbone stitch that gives this Harbor Sweater it’s beautiful texture.

And speaking of beautiful stitch work; this Sparrow Sweater has even more variety!

If you are looking for something easier to make, how about this bright green Pucker Sweater? I really love the seamless design – yay no sewing! And the square neck makes for a perfect fit.

This beautifully stylish Astoria Sweater is made with an ombre cotton blend yarn. I like the solid sleeves to keep arms warm while the open stitches of the body give it a fun look. It has some more complicated stitches so is rated as intermediate level pattern.

If you are looking for something that is super quick to make, try out this wonderfully casual Monochrome Sweater.

This pattern is called ‘The Easiest Pullover Crochet Sweater You’ll Ever Make‘. So if you are still quite new to crochet this could be the one for you!

If you are dying to use Caron Tea Cakes yarn but don’t quite know what to make then check out this super bulky warm pullover pattern.

This cozy oversized roll neck sweater could be great for throwing over any outfit as you head out the door.

If you are looking for something lighter but want a loose fit, try out this ‘Recline’ sweater.

And here’s another pattern with beautiful texture. The stitch combination used in this Starline Sweater looks like rows of stars – stunning!

This last sweater has built-in fingerless gloves! It’s a very loose fitting sweater and, if the off the shoulder look isn’t for you, it includes instructions on how to make the neck opening smaller.

And that’s them all! I hope you enjoyed this round-up. I’d love to know which is your favorite so please leave a comment below 🙂
