Ah! Spring! The weather is getting warmer, beautiful blossoms bursting on the trees, lambs leaping in the fields, and a whole lot of new babies are on the way!
I love making itty bitty little baby things! And with all those new babies coming I’m sure to be headed to a lot of baby showers this season.
Enter… the perfect gift!
These handmade baby mittens, the BOOTIES I made last week and the hat I’ll be making next week are sure to make a super special gift set for that special mom-to-be.
I wanted this set to be simple and unisex so I originally made the boot in one solid color. After I’d finished it I thought it would also look great in two colors, so I made one in sliver and coral – and it looks adorable!
You could make this set in any color: The new Loops & Threads Wellness Baby yarn is available in 12 lovely colors!
I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed designing it!

did I miss the measurements?
It looks like I forgot to add that info – thanks for letting me know! They fit 0-6 months.
if I want to make these bigger for 9 month old. Do I just add more rows?
Yes. But if you find they are not wide enough you can add an extra increase round.
I’m a little confused, In round 6-14 what do you mean in 3rd loop only?
There are tons of YouTube videos on crocheting in the 3rd loop on hdc stitches 🙂 I accidentally found a video on just that a while back or I wouldn’t have known myself! It’s been a year I see since you posted, so I’ll just have to assume you figured it out by now 😉
Oh love love these baby mitts and combined them with a berry hat!
Can I print the baby mittens out so I can have the patters to read . I hate UTube.
