I Love This Cotton (medium weight; 100% cotton) in Glowing (orange) and Bright Citrus
Loops & Threads Classic Cotton (medium weight; 100% cotton) in Fuchsia and Banana
You will need crochet hook size H – 5.0mm
Gauge: 12 single crochet x 15 rows = 4″.
This pattern uses US terminology
Stitches and Terms used: Half double crochet (hdc), single crochet (sc), magic ring.
Start here
With yellow:
Start with a Magic Ring.
Rnd 1: 8 hdc in ring. Do not join rounds (hat is worked in a spiral).
From this point forward, work all stitches into the 3rd loop to create spiral rib.
Rnd 2: 2 hdc in each of next 8. (16)
Rnd 3: [hdc in next, 2 hdc in next] 8 times. (24)
Rnd 4: [hdc in each of next 2, 2 hdc in next] 8 times. (32)
Rnd 5: [hdc in each of next 3, 2 hdc in next] 8 times. (40)
Rnd 6: [hdc in each of next 4, 2 hdc in next] 8 times. (48 hdc)
Rnd 7: [hdc in each of next 5, 2 hdc in next] 8 times. (56 hdc)
Rnd 8: [hdc in each of next 6, 2 hdc in next] 8 times. (64 hdc)
Rnd 9: [hdc in each of next 7, 2 hdc in next] 8 times. (72 hdc)

With orange:
Rnds 11 – 18: Hdc in each around. Change to pink on last stitch.
