How to Make a Daisy Granny Square

I saw this photo of a woman in a lacey beach cover up outfit and thought it would be fun to try and make something similar. The photo was shared in a Facebook crochet group but I’m unsure of the original source (if you know please tell me so I can give proper credit).

Wondering how to make daisies like this I turned to You Tube. I found a video tutorial for a flower but with more petals. I adapted it to fit my needs – a daisy with eight petals.

The video was just for the flower, no border, so I made that up myself. It took a few tries to find a workable stitch combination but here’s what I got. I added an extra round to the border to make the finished design more square shaped and versatile.

I hope you like it!
