Wow! It’s hard to believe it’s Easter already! Snow has melted, and now it’s all rainy, but I’m enjoying the warmer weather and my new environment.
This month Mum came to visit from England. We’ve had a great time spending quality time together, exploring the area, and eating good food. She got to see Niagara Falls for the first time, and with all the icebergs too!

I also got around to finishing up the blanket for my niece, Emily. She lives in England so Mum is taking it back with her to pass along. I hope she likes it!
I started it before she was born and she just turned one. I purposely made this blanket big so she can snuggle up with her family while she’s small. But also can still enjoy it when she gets bigger.

The blanket is square and can be made as large as you like. It’s a four row repeat of the in-line lace shells on the sides. The corners were a little tricky. I played around a lot to make the increases work correctly and also look good. They are are and 8 round repeat. I really love how they turned out – reminds me of the Virus Stitch – what do you think?
