Paris Baby Blanket Free Crochet Pattern

Wrap your little one in comfort and warmth with this beautiful, light-weight 100% cotton baby blanket.

This pattern is adaptable so can be made in a preferred size and length. It’s a simple two row repeat and works up quickly and easily.

Yarn Bee Sugarwheel Cotton (light weight; 100% cotton) in Paris Morning 650 yards.

You will need: Crochet hook size 7 – 4.5mm and a yarn needle to weave in ends.

Gauge: 12 single crochet x 17 rows = 4″.

This pattern uses US terminology.

Stitches and Terms Used: Chain (ch), back loop only (blo), double crochet (dc), double crochet two together (dc2tog)

This blanket can be made wider by adding multiples of 35 to the foundation chain.

The length can be altered by changing the number of rows.

Start here

Start with a slip knot and chain 177.

Row 1: Starting in 3rd ch from hook, *3 dc. Dc in each of next 3. [ch 1, skip 1, dc in next] 3 times. Dc in each of next 5. Dc2tog, skip 1, dc2tog. Dc in each of next 5 [dc in next, ch 1, skip 1] 3 times. Dc in each of next 3. 3 dc in next. Repeat from * across. Ch 2 and turn.

Row 2: Working in the back loop only, *3 dc in first, dc in each of next 5. [ch 1, skip 1, dc in next] 3 times. Dc in each of next 3, dc2tog, skip 2, dc2tog, dc in each of next 3. [dc in next, ch 1, skip 1] 3 times. Dc in each of next 5, 3 dc in next. Repeat from * across. Chain 2 and turn.

Row 3: BLO. *3 dc in first,dc in each of next 3. [ch 1, skip 2, dc in next] 3 times. Dc in each of next 5. Dc2tog, skip 1, dc2tog. Dc in each of next 5 [dc in next, ch 1, skip 2] 3 times. Dc in each of next 3. 3 dc in next. Repeat from * across. Ch 2 and turn.

Repeat rows 2 and 3 until blanket is desired length. On last repeat stop at the end of row 2. Fasten off.
